Q: Why Do You Prefer Refinishing?

A. Aside from the time and mess that bathroom remodeling normally causes, you must also take into account the cost of the removal, replacement items, labor, and installation when estimating the cost of replacement. Refinishing is the best option because it saves more than 80% on replacement costs while also increasing the value of your home.

Q: How long will the new finish remain in place?

A: Bathtubs and enclosures should last about ten years with good maintenance. Because wall tile experiences far less damage, it can endure even longer. Moreover, bathtubs can continually be resurfaced.

Q: How long does it take to refinish a bathtub?

A: The work is finished that day. Any business making the claim that a normal tub or something bigger can be professionally installed in “1 or 2 hours” should be avoided. Time is defined as the period from when we arrive till when we leave in our car. It will take more than an hour or two for a single bathtub refinisher to complete the job from the moment they arrive until they leave if they are using industry-standard technology and not cutting corners.

Q: How long do I have to wait before using my recently refinished surface?

A: Limited use of bathtubs and enclosures after 24 hours. Within 72 hours of the final coat being applied, countertops and floor tiles can be used. If the refinished area is used or disturbed before this suggested cure time, the warranty is invalid.

Q: Do I need to do anything in advance of the technician’s arrival?

A: Yes. Before we can refinish, any leaky faucets and cracked or lose tile or grout should be fixed. The water supply and drain of the tub must also be functional. Remove any cleaning supplies from the area, including any soaps, shampoos, razors, toothbrushes, curtains, shower rods, hanging caddies, and photographs. Remove anything that you can move with your finger. It would be ideal if you could take out the shower doors and tracks before we get there. Before our arrival, fittings like toilets, vanities, cabinets, or pedestal sinks should be removed if they are in the way of refinishing the tile or tub. Although not needed, it would be very appreciated if you could vacuum the rooms and give them a quick wipe down. The amount of surface dust that settles on the freshly refinished surface will be less in a clean atmosphere.

Q: Is there a distinction between reglazing and bathtub refinishing?

A: No. The process of adding a fresh finish to a hard surface is known by many different names, including bathtub refinishing, bathtub reglazing, tile refinishing, and tile reglazing. This is not the same as applying fresh porcelain. Only a kiln can bake on porcelain (oven).

Q: Is the procedure bad for my family, my pets, or me?

A: Neither people nor pets are harmed by our procedure. We appropriately seal off and ventilate the areas we’re working in and cover odors with fragrance. The first 24 hours will have a persistent stench. As everyone’s levels of sensitivity vary, it is generally better for you to stay away while the actual spraying is being done if you are still worried.

Q: Does your work come with a warranty?

A: Yes. We offer a three-year warranty against the finish on tubs, surrounds, and wall tiles flaking or lifting on their own. This is not the same as the anticipated lifetime of your finish. Your finish can last considerably longer with appropriate care, just like a car will outlive its warranty. Chips brought on by impacts from above are not covered. You must promptly get in touch with us if a touch-up is necessary and fits within the parameters of this guarantee so that we can provide all necessary work and supplies at no additional expense. You shall be responsible for any service or repair costs if an issue does not fall within the parameters of this warranty.

Care and Upkeep (Tile, Sink, and Bathtub)

  • 24 hours must pass after the work is finished before the surface can be used again.
  • After 24 hours, be cautious while removing any masking tape and paper.
  • After 24 hours, you should reinstall any hardware, including drains, faucets, handles, etc.
  • Suction cup bath mats are never to be used! Any suction cup can damage the finish.
  • Use only a non-abrasive cleaner for cleaning. After use, completely remove the cleanser. Use only non-bleach cleaning products.
  • Store soaps, shampoo, bath oils, shaving cream, etc. away from the rim of the tub. Some products contain chemicals that over time may harm the finish.
  • Fix any dripping faucets right away. Water leaks near drains will hasten wear and rust.
  • To avoid spilling any liquid drain opener on the completed surface, use caution while pouring it directly into the drain.
  • With normal cleaning and use, the majority of surface dust will disappear in 3–4 weeks. Do not use your finger to remove surface dust.
